A Covington, Louisiana Domino’s Pizza is going viral because of their trash bin. The restaurant closed because of Hurricane Ida. When workers returned, they tossed all of their dough in the trash because it had spoiled.
Louisiana’s intense heat and humidity caused the dough to rise and become a giant blob. It overflowed into the parking lot.
Some people are joking saying that it reminds them of the 1950s horror flick “The Blob.” Local Nicole Amstutz has been posting daily updates and photos of the blob on her social media.
She added over the weekend, “Saturday morning update: it’s still there, but the dough inside fell and now there are boxes on top. Dough on ground is squishy.” She says her posts from feedback that she’s received are making people laugh, which is needed during the stressful times.
