Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland has her new pair of budget shoes and will stand to present her latest budget in Parliament this afternoon.
Freeland purchased her new shoes, on sale, at Simons in Ottawa.
The budget is expected to include a meaningful investment in a dental care plan for low-income Canadians.
And in another nod to the Liberals’ agreement with the N-D-P, the budget will also extend a temporary boost to the G-S-T rebate to help people struggling to deal with rising grocery bills.
The Liberals are also expected to make significant investments in clean energy and technology.
